HAPPY HOLIDAYS 2023!

A special somewhat "late" Xmas gift to all. This was originally recorded in the summer of 2021 before I moved to LA, with a borrowed Yamaha keyboard from Nikolai Lapinski and a micro-korg from Kasey Green I believe? (That could have been for the Alan Vega tribute though)

Whatever the case may be, I've had this one sitting around on an old hard drive for a while now. Never fully satisfied with the vocal take or the finger drums 100% on this, I attempted one last vocal take off the cuff today. I think it turned out pretty damn good.

No one sings Bryan Ferry like Bryan Ferry himself of course, but I've loved Roxy Music since I was a kid, and this stands as one of my favorite songs of all time, so I decided to at least take a chance. What exactly does this have to do with Christmas or the holidays? Um...well, that's for you to decide as you will I suppose. (I actually attempted It's Christmas Time by Sun Ra/YLT originally, but that took more than I could scramble together in time, so instead, here's More Than This.)

Happy holidays, from all the St. George/Gerhardt extended family. Thank you to all my friends, bandmates, brothers and sisters, and all who helped make this year one of the busiest and best ones yet. I love you all!
